Should I meet with my artist prior to my full day session?
Yes and we require a Free Tattoo Consultation prior to all full / half day sessions, a tattoo an artist will need to design and draw for (if done in shop we start charging after the first 30 mins.), and we want to make sure you have the best tattoo artist for your new tattoo. You can schedule the tattoo appointment after the free tattoo consultation in shop or on line. We are located in Salem NH, minutes from Methuen and North Andover Mass.
What happens to my deposit?
The deposit will go toward the total cost of your tattoo.
The deposit is NOT refundable.
We allow one schedule change with a 48 to 72 hours notice. Are artist are allowed one schedule change if sick or family emergency.

Will the design & drawing be ready for my appointment?
No. The first one to two hours will be spent with the best tattoo artist designing your tattoo at the tattoo appointment. As long as you are sure of what you want & don’t make numerous changes from what you originally planned at your free tattoo consultation the design/drawing can be completed fairly quick.

If requested will the artist have the drawing ready for my appointment?
Yes. If requested, the artist will work on your design and drawing prior to your appointment however, there is a $200 fee that will not go towards the tattoo. The cost would be: $200 for the drawing and for the full day appointment cost (make sure you ask the artist the estimate at your free tattoo consultation).
What is the advantage of requesting that the artist draw ahead? Day of your appointment you will have more tattoo time!
Drawing ahead on their own time: Artist will take all the information from the consultation appointment, complete a rough draft, meet with you to confirm that they are on the right path, and have the drawing 90% completed at the time of your tattoo appointment.
I personally have been in shops and found being up front with cost is better than starting the tattoo & holding the person hostage for more money. ASK FOR THE ESTIMATE and have it written on your appointment form. Best tattoo artist will not have an issue confirm price for the session and low to high estimate for the finished tattoo. The artist will give you an estimate on the "time" & "cost". If they do not ASK!

What if we do want to change the design or add to the original idea
If you booked a full day session then the artist is yours for the full day session. The more upfront time you use the less tattoo time there will be. You can change your mind one time, two times, or more but the original deposit will be paid to artist for the time to design your first request and you will need to leaving another deposit if it is a complete design change. Think of it like this, if you hire a internal house painter to paint your living room and confirm the color "green" and once finished you decide you like "yellow" better. They are not going to paint it for free. So anytime the artist is "working" and a change is made and the artist is working additional time there is a charge.
Please make sure you can sit for a long period because the artist's day is blocked off for you. This is how they earn a living and some artists will charge $1000 unless the Artist agrees to waive.
If you booked a few hours or half day session and the artist has an appointment after yours we'll try to keep within the allotted time not to make the next client wait. It is critical you receive the tattoo you want without impacting another customer.

What happens if I miss my appointment?
Don't...only joking. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible so we can replace time/day with another appointment. We understand "life" happens and we will try to be as understanding as possible but try to keep to one schedule change please.

What can I do to better prepare for the day of my appointment?

Prior to your appointment:
Keep area out of the sun.
Keep area clean and moisturized.
If the area we will be tattooing has a severe "break out" or "open sores" we may have to reschedule until your skin is healed.
Drinking plenty of water is known to help your skin.
Ibuprofen: Do not take within 3-5 days of your appointment.
Blood Thinners: Ask doctor if you can stop day prior to your appointment.
Drinking Alcohol: Please avoid day before and day off your appointment.
Why? The more you bleed the harder it is for the artists to tattoo.
Day of your appointment:
EAT! Bring some snacks and drinks (we have bottle water on site)
During the tattoo if you feel light headed:
Let the artist know.
If needed, sit with your head lowered between your knees.
We have cold compress & this is when the sugar and cold water / drink will help.
Don't worry it doesn't happen often & when it does they customer feels fine within 5-10 min.
Make sure you dress for your tattoo.
Examples:
If you are planning on a leg tattoo bring shorts.
If you are planning on a back tattoo & female you can bring a towel or button down shirt to put on backwards.
If you are a female requesting a tattoo that requires you to be exposed please bring cover up bandage for breast and if you need to use restroom etc put your clothes back on.
If you have long hair, hair tie to make sure your hair is out of the way.
